Ice Fishing

Monday Weekly Ice Fishing Report: Dec 1, 2025

Fishable Ice?… Yes

Biting Fish?… Well…

Not wanting to go out for the first time in the dark and not wanting to go out in the dark without drilling first, we probably missed the initial money hour. But we now have what I would call ‘fishable ice’, right at 4 inches. Only on a couple of northern lakes, but fishable ice is fishable ice.

In the time that we were out, we marked 6 fish, caught 1 17-inch Walleye, so it is not like they were very active.

The ice we were in, in 48 hours, went from 2 to 2.5 to 4, so we are in the ice making zone. Tomorrow, I expect to find 4-5 inches with 4-wheeler ice on the horizon.

Good Luck out there!
