Between Bear, Canadas, Doves, and Ducks!!

While I do have one more fishing trip on Friday, I am almost all the way switched over to hunting, and I just got back from a bear trip. Of the 5 guys with tags, 3 of em tagged out, leaving 2 of us having to go back. Which is fine with me, it was way too warm while we were there, and the Bear were very nocturnal. As the temps start to dip, it should get easier on the two of us that are left.

The honkers have been something of a tricky one so far. The molts haven’t returned yet and the hatch doesn’t seem as good as it has been in years past, leaving us with older birds that just don’t want to ‘do it’! As the molts return, things should get better. However, oh my gosh did the ducks have a hatch. Thousands and thousands of ducks just about every day. Looking to be a VERY good fall flight.

Ice Fishing Is Just Around The Corner!

That being said, it just means that Ice Fishing isn’t far behind and it is time to start gearing us for it.
