The Time To Have To Sort Through The Smalls Is In Full Swing
The time for sorting through about 30-60 smalls to get your 5, 10, or 15 keepers is upon us. I lost count of how many smalls I caught today to get to 5 14-16 inchers. Yes, it is still catching fish, but oh my gosh the smalls are on the feed right now.
Trolls spinners in 20-30 feet of water just about anywhere and you will catch fish, the size might not be there, but the numbers sure are.
Story Lately Has Been The Wind
The nice thing about Devils Lake is that no mater what direction the wind is from, there is always somewhere that we can hide from it and catch fish. Whether it’s Highway 57, or Highway 20, or Highway 19; no matter the wind there is always somewhere to hide from it.
First thing we do in the morning is check the wind and see how strong and what direction and pray that the forecast is at least kind of close.
