Search Day!

That Wasn’t The Only One We Found!!

We never want to pound one spot over and over again, so we went on a little search today, and as usual, we found some keepers and quite a few throwbacks. This lake makes search days a lot of fun because you can usually be rest assured that you are going to catch something.

3 depth ranges today, all between 11-23 feet of water, two involving road beds and one just an old shoreline.

We just used spinners and worms today, didn’t dabble in any lead core.

Seemed like White with a stripe of some kind was our hottest color!

The bite was a little slow in spots and we had two areas that didn’t produce much of anything, leaving 3 spots that did.

Many of the fish we are catching as of late have had empty stomachs and haven’t been doing a lot of feeding. A couple today were full of blood worms and that was about it.

One Perch from yesterday had the beginnings of an egg sac in it so you know, the Perch at least, are going to begin to put the feed bag on. As should the Walleyes as we usually have a pretty intense fall bite. With the late Spring and everything being behind a few weeks, it just may be on the horizon.

Good Luck out there!
