Fishing Report

Monday Weekly Fishing Report: May 23rd, 2022!

Unseasonably Cold Weather Continues!

Help Is On The Way!

With a massive cold front this weekend and water temperatures dropping again down to the high 40’s and low 50’s, the shallow water pitching bite is again a tough one for Walleyes.  Pike and White Bass are willing but we need a sharp water temperature increase to get that shallow pitch bite going.

With temperatures as they were again today, topping out at 53.5-54 degrees, a slip bobber is going to be more productive than pitching plastics and a crank bait, for Walleyes anyway, is just not producing.

Help Is On The Way!

Temperatures this week are going to spike and get into the 70’s by the weekend.  This should boost those water temperatures substantially.  Until we see that water temperature boost, slip bobbers are going to be the way the most productive for Walleyes in the mornings and early afternoons with plastics starting to produce later in the day as the water gets to its warmest.

We will be back at it again tomorrow and we hope to see some Water Temperature rise.

Good Luck out there!
