Fishing Report

Sunday’s Excursion

Happy Mother’s Day To All Moms

Afternoon trip after celebrating Mother’s Day gives us some hope for the Walleye bite on the big lake heating up.  Found water in some small bays in the 61-63 degree range.  Got these eyes in 58.7 to 60.2 degrees of water.

Boat was in 6-8 feet of water and we were pitching #5 and #7 Scatter Raps in Bleak, Perch, and Hot Steel into 2-4 feet of water.  Many Pike and White Bass were present as well.

    1. Some, I wouldn’t say a lot. Know it enough to occasionally travel there. It is a very productive yet at times frustrating part of the fishery. It can get over fished especially around tournaments. We try to avoid Pelican if there is a tourney in town.
