Never Too Early To Plan For Ice On The Big Devil
The DLFR Guided Experience
The Guiding that DevilsLakeFishingReport offers is not your conventional guided trip. We aren’t in the business of filling up our schedule. We will only take clients 2-3 days a week. The rest of the time is for us to spend finding and searching for fresh schools of Perch, Crappie, and Walleyes and being able to fulfill our obligation to our Platinum and Silver Members. A trip with us won’t be spent on stale fish or in the middle of a crowd. A day with us will be spent combing the ice. Ice trolling in search of that Devils Lake Gold Mine. If you want to hole up on one spot and watch yo-yo’s all day, we are not the Guided Trip for you.
However, if you relish in the discovery of a Perch eruption and the ‘Vexilar Christmas Tree’, then book us today before there aren’t any windows of opportunity left.
DIY On Devils Lake- We Can Help
If you are the adventurous type and want to do your own prospecting, we have packages for that too. Our ‘Start Points’ and ‘Fringe Points’ will start you in the right direction. They will put you in probably fish zones where you can begin your Perch and Walleye Searches.
Fringe Points- What Are They
We have spots on Devils Lake that we keep going back to EVERY YEAR. They are seasonal transition spots that hold fish year after year. Those are in the ice bundles above. Then there are spots that are just on the fringe of being included in those but just aren’t there yet. That is where Fringe Points come in, and we have them for all over the lake.
Start Points- Begin Your DIY Search
If you just want to be put in the ballpark area of Perch and Walleye habitat and do the search yourself, Start Points are what you are after. Altogether, there are about 240,000 acres and the fish occupy about 10% of that water. Let us help you eliminate 90%.
