Putting Numbers Of Walleyes In The Boat Requires Corking
Bigger Fish To Be Had With Plastics
Cranks, For Eyes, Pretty Ineffective As Of Today
We have caught fish, limits even, on pitching plastics. We are die hard pitchers and love that ‘thump’. However, with this late Spring and the water being slow to warm, putting numbers of Walleyes in the boat requires Slip Bobbering.
Now, that is going to change quickly as we are hitting those 60 degree levels. But, over the next week probably, to just put large numbers of fish in the boat; get the boat into 6-10 feet of water and get those Bobbers into 3-6 feet of water on the edges of weeds, trees, and old shorelines. Tip the hook or jig head with a leech and soak it for 10-15 minutes. Without a hit, make a lateral move and repeat. You WILL see results.
What Do We Do After A Guide Day?
We Do Some Kid/Dock Fishing Of Course!
Ok, so maybe not like this, but you gotta love her enthusiasm!!
But from 8:30 to 930, these were hitting on the same Bobbers we used in the boat and Parker was ‘ON IT”!!
Do not ever forego the opportunity to take a kid fishing and getting them hooked on the sport we love!
Good Luck out there!

Fishing Into Catching!
Since 2016!
Cranks were working great in 25 ft. today. Limit in a few hours and nice size walleyes.
That is a crazy deep depth, but good to hear, means there are fish throughout the water column. Just an extremely healthy fishery at the moment.
