Return To Coulee Fishing This Year!!

After 2 Years Of No Flow

Gonna Have Some Current This Spring!!

The beauty of the fishing season not closing in North Dakota, the main one anyway, it that a large group of people that wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to fish get to.

Would I like to see them close it during the spawn, sure I would. It would only make it better for the rest of the year. I do have faith in our Game and Fish and they keep telling us that fish taken during the spawn do not contribute to the detriment of fish populations, so I believe the science.

Therefore, instead of complaining about it, why don’t we just enjoy the opportunity we have during the spring to get out there and fish.

The last two years we had basically zero current in the coulees, not so this year. As of today, the coulees are not moving yet, still locked up, but with these warm temperatures this week, they will be breaking open soon. Why not capitalize on this fishing opportunity and get out there this spring and do some Pike and Walleye fishing.

We have a tool to help you, our Devils Lake Basin Spring and Shore Fishing Guide:

Good Luck out there!
