Ice Fishing

Thursday’s Drill Fest

One Thing Is For Sure…

I Am Not A Quitter!!

It might have taken me quite a few locations, 3 different areas and 2 lakes, but I finally got it done today. Location #1 was up on a northern feeder lake and all’s I found was weeds, and lots of them. Most people would have gotten done with 30 holes, finding nothing but weeds, and gone home.

NOPE!

I was not going out like that. Decided to head to the main lake, try to find fishable ice, and see if we couldn’t put a few on the ice. Our 2nd spot on the main lake was the ticket.

Less than 30 feet, more than 20. Ice was 5-6 inches, which really kind of surprised me it was that thick, but a few days of near zero will do that to the ice sheet.

Buckshots and Coffin spoons tipped with minnow heads.

Good Luck out there!
