Spinner Bite For Now

Lead Core Coming Though!

Bounced around a lot on a clean search today. Went to 3 spots we hadn’t been yet and 2 that we had. Found 3 areas that had fish on em, all in less than 25 feet. Spinners and bouncers, which it will probably be for the next week or so until we decide to try some lead core. Worms is the bait of choice right now, it is a good idea to have at least 1 spinner with a leech but otherwise we have been almost strictly worms.

Water was 74 degrees when we left the water so temps are pretty steady above 70.

Yesterday’s catch was only 5 that I would classify as really good fish, otherwise just a bunch of 14-16 inch eaters. Lots and lots of those 12-14 inchers biting right now. Makes it a little more challenging to get 10 or 15 of those 15-18 inchers, a guy goes through a lot of worms.

Was much shallower along a road, quality fish though!

3rd day on a pretty busy area but it was and is still pretty fishy. I hate to call anything a ‘Community Spot’, but that is pretty much what this is.

Good Luck out there!

  1. So I get your running a business and I honestly respect what u guys do and get it but you should also try to help people out a little more on your reports..specific depths..colors etc..you can provide that info without giving up your honey holes or giving too much info…our family has been going there for 15 years now and it seems like info window on everyone’s reports have turned into strictly about money…just saying for what it’s worth..we’re coming in 3 weeks which is a month later than usual and I try to do my homework before but not a lot of info out there last couple years..anyway don’t take it as criticism by no means..just my input..ty and b safe

    1. While I see your point we do try to give as much as possible. Giving exact depths and colors was exactly what we used to do, but with the cost of running the report, we just couldn’t do that anymore, that is why we started with subscriptions. For 49 dollars, you can get a month subscription and get all of that info, more than worth the money. Fishing has been tough, getting better, but with how the bite had been, we are having to run more miles in order to give an accurate report. Thank you for your viewership and I hope I’ve explained myself a little.

  2. Enjoy your blog , I’m from Iowa !!!
