We would be hypocritical if we promoted further travel onto the ice when we are skittish about going ourselves.

It is our current recommendation that travel out onto the lake is ‘at your own risk’ only and we cannot tell you that you will not encounter issues getting on and getting off of the lake.

With temperatures that are not providing some level of refreeze, with extremely warm temperatures tomorrow accompanied by high winds, and mixed precipitation; ice conditions are going to deteriorate at an expanded rate.

If you do decide to venture out, please be careful and err on the side of safety.
