Thursday’s Weather and Solunar Forecast

Entering The Full Moon Cycle!

In Waterfowl hunting, we often dread the coming of the Full Moon! Birds will feed deep into the night and will not have the need to go to the fields.  Many a morning during the Full Moon cycle we have sat in the decoy spread with an empty sky with heads down,  Not so with the aquatic species.  The Full Moon cycle seems to bring out the beast in the fish.  We anxiously look to the coming of the Full Moon for some truly outstanding fishing on the Big Devil!

Just a little commentary on the weather.  We are entering a stretch of August where we usually see 80’s-90’s.  The weather threw us a curve and is going to be unseasonably cool.  We will stay abreast of how that cooler weather affects fish activity and bring updates to you ASAP!

    1. We are actually picking some up when we are dipping into that 12-20 foot range when we are trolling. If you want to target pike right now either go to Mike’s Lake and cast to your hearts content or try trolling on the shallower ledges.
