Walleye Alert!

High Wind, Deeper Water, Similar Result!

Attempted to both get out of the wind and avoid the Casino Tourney crowd today.  Had bow mount prop issues, mainly that it struck a tree and sheered off, so were eliminated from the pitching game.  Decided we would attempt to pull spinners in deeper water and see if any Walleyes had slid ledges out of the shallows and into that 8-15 foot range.

We were pleasantly surprised with a nice eater limit:

How’d We Do It!

Green, Orange, and Holo Perch #2 and #3 Colorado Blade spinners, slow death hooks tip with leeches.  We were cruising, 1.2 to 1.7 miles per hour in 8-11 feet of water off of the edge of some flooded timber.  Fish were aggressive and strikes were consistent.

Good Luck Out There!

Hold On To your Rod…

And…

CATCH MORE FISH!!

  1. Bringing my mom, wife and brother and his family up to Devil’s next week. Want to bottom bounce and spinner fish. Any general area that would be good for that? To keep kids and beginner adults occupied:)

    1. Yesterdays package in black tiger is exactly what you are talking about doing. Also some coming out later today that are Bottom Bouncer spots in Black Tiger.
