More Fishable Ice Everyday
As every night dips into the teens and single digits, we are making more and more fishable ice. Actually getting out into deeper water to look for Perch, Crappie, and White Bass is now becoming possible as today’s pic and waypoints prove.
We were on 6 inches of good ice out into 21-25 feet of water before the wind blew us off the ice. We marked A LOT of fish, lots of yo-yo’s but we were able to connect with a few.
These Buggers Have To Be Dealt With
There are also a lot of these swimming the waters of Devils Lake at the moment. We knew this going into the ice year as they were everywhere at the end of the open water season.
The Northern Feeder lakes are starting to produce some Walleyes as the water has cleared a little but is still quite muddy and stained. The ice up North is good, stable and getting thicker
Whether Walleyes or Perch and Crappies are what you are after, there is a lot of fishable ice for you to get after them. Don’t forget these when you go:
Good Luck Out There!
