Fishing Report

BRRRRRRR! But We Got Some!

Even Though He Gave Me A Schooling!

We had to go in the a.m. so was a little concerned about water temperatures right away. As expected, they were day down in the high 40’s, 49 even to be exact. When we left the water at 11, they had only come up to about 49.9.

Way too chilly for a really good bite to be going, but a guy has to try, the 1st 3 spots we tried, nothing. Fourth spot, with winds at almost 20, was the ticket. After landing 2 Pike with a crank after nothing on plastics, I handed Hudson my rod so that I could switch his to a crank bait as well.

Big Mistake!

I never got my rod back!

He was on fire and put on a clinic, boating both Walleyes and 3 Pike to my 3 Pike, a 5 to 3 drubbing!

We were never in over 10 feet of water and while plastics AND jigs got me fish yesterday, it was all cranks today!

Back at it for a p.m. trip tomorrow

Good Luck out there!
