Finally, Numbers of Perch
Not Limits, But Good Ones
Limits? No, far from it, but seeing numbers like I saw today gives a guy hope. Groups of 5-12 Perch coming in and some biting is encouraging. Obviously deep, over 40 feet of water so everything that was caught had to be kept, good thing they were all good ones. The pesky White Bass were also in full force, and while a lot of them didn’t bite, they did scatter a few of our Perch schools a bit.
Not much noise, no buckshots, all varmints were in order. Anything that made noise would just scatter the fish. Minnow heads worked better than spikes or full minnow for us today.
