Basically Been Walleye Fishing

With Some Crappie Mixed In

Bite Has Still Been Tough

The bite has not yet been ‘really good’ yet. Yes, we have had a few days where they really do it pretty good early in the a.m. but have yet to have a really good Walleye bite since the start of January. It is coming, starting to see some females starting to bite and are getting some really good, 17–21-inch males. However, of 10 fish we see, only 1 or 2 of them will bite, that is not a great ratio. Having to see 50-60 fishing in order to get a limit is not ideal.

Flutter spoons or something similar have been the best for us, whether it be Pink or Black or Rainbow; they are the ones we start with in the morning and go from there.

Best bites have still been relatively shallow, less than 15 feet of water.

For The Crappie!

Go just a tad deeper, just over 20 feet of water it you wanna try em, I shouldn’t have to tell you where!

Good Luck out there!
