Doing Double Duty
Fun But Busy!
I absolutely love these days in August and Early September when we are doing double duty, fishing and hunting, sometimes in the same day. It can wear a guy out but it is all in good, clean fun!!
We had a hunting trip in Friday, fishing on Saturday, and hunting again today!
Friday’s hunt was a good one, as 39 Canada’s took their last flight. Saturday’s fishing outing was a tough one, we got 9 of the 15 we needed but there was just no pattern to them and they were really reluctant to bite.
And then today the fog! usually when hunting we welcome a good foggy day, but in August when they really don’t have a need to feed; the fog can be a real buzzkill. That was the case today as they just wanted to lounge on the water rather than hit the fields.
All in all, I would say it was a success and a blast and look forward to more of this in the weeks to come.
