Some Will Drive You Absolutely Bonkers

We Are Here To Help
I fish with bottom bouncers and spinners A LOT. From mid- to late June all the way to the end of my summer fishing season, so I feel like I know what I am talking about, somewhat of an expert if you will.
I usually wrap my spinners before a trip, if I have time, to make it easier on my sanity. However, there are times when I have to buy a few extra ones right before a trip and have to bring them with still in the package. I took the day off of the water today in order to get some hunting stuff in order and do some posting and scouting at the home farm area, got home and worked on some panels, and then unpackaged and wrapped some more spinners.
You should always ‘Eat The Frog First’, meaning do the stuff you dread 1st then everything else is easy. I did the reverse, I opened and wrapped the WA-PA and BNB spinners 1st, easy peasy lemon squeezy. Then it was the Northland, Scheels brand, and Little Joe; big, big, BIG mistake.
Why on god’s green earth do some tackle companies insist on twisting the spinners, from both ends mind you, 6,000 times. And then, THEN they don’t even do them on the regular, so sometimes it’s 6,000, sometimes it is 5,999, instant tangled spinner.
Well, I am here to help. There are 3 spinner brands I will ALWAYS buy, there are 3 that I will not buy again until they change their ways (not holding my breath).
The absolute BEST brands to buy are:
-
WA-PA
-
BNB
-
Jack’s
All three make it so, so easy to get your spinner out. Up here in DL, it is hardly ever calm, always some wind. Have you ever tried to unwrap a spinner with even a 10-mph wind? It can be frustration. These three companies have it figured out and kudos to them, we as fisherman thank you.
Those are the good, now for the UGLY:
Do not, and I repeat, do not make the mistake of buying these and thinking you will keep your sanity:
-
Northland Spinners
-
Scheels brand Spinners
-
Little Joe spinners
I just spent about 20 minutes on the WAPA and BNB ones, and over an hour and a half on half as many of the other 3. Never, never again will I buy a Northland, Scheels brand, or Little Joe spinner until those 3 companies adjust their spinner wrapping techniques.
And yes, it is THAT important!!
Good Day!
Good Luck out there!
