Cooler Water Has Them All Over The Place

It all started with a cold front and a 10-degree water temperature drop. Now it seems as though the fish are kind of all over the place again, 1 here, 1 there, no concentration. It means a guy is going to have to run around a lot more until the water temperatures stabilize. Some sun would be good, but this is not uncommon for Devils Lake in the late summer.

I moved around the main bay a lot today, some places had just nothing, some had fish that wouldn’t bite, some had dinks. Where I caught fish, it almost would have been better to catch a keeper then make a move. I’m stubborn though, glad I am cause in the last spot there were multiple that would bite.
