But Usually, Really Good Fish

I think this is the 5th one for this calendar year. Never expect them but always appreciate them when they come. This one actually broke the rod and I thought I was going to lose the fish, but broken rod and all, we got her in. Right at 20-21 inches long and very healthy.

The rest of our fish were all just good eaters, 14-16 inches, and all under 20 feet of water. Three different spinners today and all over the color spectrum. As this cold front leaves us today, let’s hope our fish can get back to how they were. In the spot we started out in, there were fish there, they just wouldn’t bite. Left it, tried two other spots and then came back to it, still wouldn’t bite, so we went looking for new fish.

Our 4th spot was the charm, came into it with 1 Walleye and 1 Perch, 2 hours later we left with a client limit plus one and a bonus Perch. Moral of the story is keep trying, you just never know!
