Spinner Bite?

ON FIRE!!

Purchasing Sunday’s packages would have put you right along side of us as we were doing this today!!  Don’t worry, still a couple of waypoint sales left before we have to pull it!!

They may not all be 20+ inchers, but we don’t want to keep a box of those anyway.  Our target right now is 15-19 and there are ‘oh so many’ of those in the fishery right now.  We started off the day in the exact same spot we were on Sunday and right away they were a bit lethargic, just barely tapping the ends of our worms.  By the end of the day, they were smashing it just like yesterday.

These fish may not feed for the duration of the day, but they are going to go through a pretty intense bite at some point in the day and when they do, you wanna be where they are at.

That ‘white line’ on the Google Earth Image from 1991 is at it again.  Last year we were looking at 15-17 feet of water, now with the 4-foot rise, it’s at 19-21 feet.

Find a pint or break line, get into that 19-21 foot zone and weave through it, you will run into them and in some areas, A LOT of them.  We do it with spinners, lead core and cranks will do the same trick.  These fish are fat and healthy and have bellies FULL of shrimp so they don’t HAVE to feed constantly; but being in that zone when they decide to get after it is going to get you the bite you are looking for.

Colors?? Your Ask!!

The last 3 days have started and stopped with these three.  That Purple w/Silver Stripe has been HOT, Gold and Green, and Chartreuse.  Go through some other colors but always have at least 1 of each down there, you will thank us for it.  

Signs We Think About Fishing Factors Too Much!

Apparently, we are thinking about fishing a little too much!

My wife related to me on Sunday night that I guess, I sat up straight in bed on Saturday night, looked at her and stated…

“We aren’t taking the boats out, IT’S TOO WINDY!!”

I guess we have fishing on the brain a little too much!!
