Was Hot And Heavy There For Awhile
Then they slid deeper!
It started out very hot and heavy while they were up tight to the weeds. The weeds in this area have shot up and out into 6-6.5 feet of water. The fish were pretty tight to the weeds, on the east face of this shallow point, right away in 7.5-8 feet of water and they were uber aggressive. As the sun got higher and they slipped out into 10-12 feet they got a little less aggressive but were still hitting.
Mack missed a few but he caught more than enough to make it a successful day. Chartreuse Spinners with a 1/2 crawler and Purple Spinners with a 1/2 crawler were the 2 colors of the day.
Purple right now, sure seems to be a go-to, even on a sunny day like today.
