Thursday Weather and Solunar Forecast- December 14th

Oh, That Wind!!!!

Two things on the radar as far as weather goes.  First off, a couple of wind days that we see coming up, mainly this afternoon with some winds up there in the 20-30 range and then again on Monday and Tuesday of next week.  With most travel being on foot or UTV right now, wind can be a factor in the fact that it makes everything seem colder.  I really don’t like being out there when the wind whips up over 20 MPH.  If I have my vehicle, then fine, I can use that to block it and have a heat source.  When out on foot and exposed to the elements, that wind zaps you pretty fast.

The second, we have a significant cool down coming and hopefully that will lock up the remaining problem areas out there and we can get into the business of making some serious ice.

The NEW MOON

The new moon cycle comes into play with an elevated star day starting tomorrow and carrying through to the first part of next week.  If at all possible, make sure you are out fishing during those Majors and Minors on those elevated star days, it can really boost the bite.
