Contest, Fishing Report

Memorial Day- May 29th, 2017

Thank You!

No amount of verbal gratitude is sufficient to express how I feel towards those that have served and are serving our country in the armed forces.  The blanket of freedom that they provide us with has no price tag.  The sacrifice of all of them is huge, the sacrifice of some of them is ultimate.

Those that have fallen in the line of duty have paid the ultimate price for me to be able to wake up and decide to fish or not to fish.

Our everyday decisions seem so minuscule:

Iced or Hot Coffee?

Their everyday decisions save lives,

I’ve Never Served

I didn’t enter the armed forces out of high school.  There are times that I wish I had.  The discipline of the services would have done me some good.  I needed a swift kick in the hinder.  If my daughter or son ever come to me and say they want to serve, I would promote that with enthusiasm.  There is no greater honor and often times, in our society of taking things for granted, we take this one important thing for granted far too much.

If you see a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marines; THANK THEM!  Do so with gusto!  Do so and mean it!  Do it with tears in your eyes and a smile on your face.  Don’t just thank them, give them a hug.  Not a back pat hug,  a monster bear hug that let’s them know that what they do is appreciated and that your gratitude comes from the deepest cockles of your heart.
