Lots Of Fish Activity Even With The Cold Front
Cold front fishing can be frustrating. Today was not. The Walleyes bit early and often making for a short morning excursion. With the strengthening East-Northeast wind and not much sun, we established a shoreline on one of Devils Lake’s Northern Feeder lakes to target.
We pitched Shad, Hot Steel, and Purpledescent #7 Scatter Raps into 1-4 feet of water on the shoreline and had our limit before 11.
Sprinkled in between Walleye schools were some ferocious White Bass and we have the location of them as well.
Good Luck Out There!
Where is the landing on Dry Lake?
At Dry Lake Campground on the west side of the lake. There is a $20 per day fee but we assure you in the early season it is well worth it. Take the first non-closed road west of channel A and then your 1st right and then a left at the T. From there there is sign that will bring you right in. Stop at the wishing well in front of the house at the campground to pay. It is a very good launch and we have put in our big boat in numerous times this year.
