Pike Invasion

When the slimers move into a shallower area where the Perch have been active, this scatters the Perch schools.  This has happened to two of our really good early ice perch spots in that 18-25 foot water depth.  When this occurs, generally speaking, we start to find good schools on intermediate shore line ledges.

That was the case the last few days as we are marking a ton of Perch and having pretty good success in the 27-33 foot ledge area.  All three of these spots seem to be the case:

This is an active school, they were biting even in the middle of a blizzard, sun would have them in a frenzy!

 

Easily accessible and not far from Woodland Resort, there are a ton of fish here!

 

Also easy access and they are going right now as we speak!

  2. Was the sun active school points from the other day? Does easy acces mean relatively close to shore?
