Too Calm, Too Clear

But That Bad Boy Did It!

She stretched the tape to 44.5 inches, took about 15 minutes to get in, and made so many runs I lost count. The General had her hooked on the very edge of the mouth, probably the only reason we were able to land her. She swam away healthy, and while not the target species, it sure was fun to be a part of.

What does a 44-inch pike look like in the water? Impressive!

We hadn’t really been east yet and after yesterday, I was feeling pretty confident, nothing more humbling than going east! Not a Walleye came into the boat today. We saw a few, but none that wanted to bite. That eastern water needs to muddy up or get some tint to it before the bite over there is really going to take off. The 3 areas we fished were all way too clear.

Good Luck out there!
