Thursday ‘Ready For The Weekend’ Fishing Report!

Look Like a Banger Of A Day!!

Until You Find Out That Was 4 Bears Worth

And 12 Guys!!

We had fish pretty much all day, they came in waves and initially we would get a few to bite, then they would go negative on us and we would sit and wait for them to flare us again and they seldom did. Then we were on to moving again and trying to zero in on another active school, and then repeat. Such is the bite right now on Devils Lake, just so inconsistent and sporadic. We were deep almost the entire day, greater than 30 feet of water. Some were landed with Tungsten, some with buckshots, some with varmints; again, nothing consistent.

The Shallow Stuff To The West!

We were West yeasterday and it is much shallower and the fish, on average, seem to be bigger. The Perch are huge, just not a ton of them. The Walleyes, for the most part are willing to bite if you stay on em long enough!

In The Middle!

And two days ago, we were somewhere in the middle and marked fish all morning, just couldn’t get a whole lot of them to bite, which is about par for the course on Devils Lake right now.

This warm weather just seems to have everything out of whack and getting a steady bite on this lake is really tough right now. We need the weather to change back to a little more like it should be, down in the single digits to get these fish back to where they should be. The forecast doenst look like it is going to be doing us any favors, to on the struggle bus we sit, waiting and waiting and waiting!!

Good Luck out there!
