Fish The Conditions

Might Be Surprised What You Might Find!

Yesterday, we had 13 studs, just beautiful fish. We were 2 short, but the ones we got were outstanding. I knew there was no way we would be able to

  • A. Get there
  • B. Hold the boat there

So back to the drawing board we went. Went to one spot where we had fish that wouldn’t bite 3 days ago, got 2 dink throwbacks and then couldn’t even get to where I wanted to be cause of the wind. Plan B, and sometimes Plan B should have been Plan A. In all actuality, our first pass on it wasn’t even that good, trying to troll into the wind. It wasn’t until I adjusted to the conditions, went with it on a controlled drift, that we were on em.

While they weren’t the studs we were catching yesterday, on average they were 14-17 inches as opposed to 18-19 inches. Considering the conditions, we did outstanding!

Drift down, big motor back; drift down, big motor back; drift down, big motor back. Done by noon with 20!

Less than 30 feet of water, spinners and worms; bet you would like to know the 2 color spinners that we got them with!!

Good Luck out there!
