They Were Snapping Today!
Going to be quite shallow for a while, but man is it a fun time to be out there on Devils Lake. Sure, you can get them with bobbers and a leech, but why would you want to slow it down that much when these things are snapping like they are. I think I was off the water before a lot of guys even got up, and such is the bite on DL right now.
A little deeper, but still under 10 feet of water, the bites weren’t vicious today, and we missed quite a few in the short time we were on the water, but there was a definite ‘thump’ when they took it!
Love when we get a chance to do some action shots, the aggressiveness of these fish is astounding.
Lures!
We were using #6 SR today, and I would guess that is going to be the case give or take. Either #5, #6, or #7’s for the next few weeks anyway.
