Slow Start/Hammer Time Finish

Locating The Pods Took Up The Better Part Of The Morning

After That It Was Academic

Sometimes, you to the spots where you always have had luck before. You get caught up in a routine that has worked for years. We were stuck in that rut this morning early on with nothing but Pike. When the dust settled, 57 slimers came over the side of the boat. Had we not made a depth and location adjustment, we might have only had 2 or 3 Walleyes.

Those two adjustments made all the different though and we were headed to the launch by 1:00.

The water temperatures were in the 50’s, 54-57 degrees and we never hit 58, kinda cool but the fish were active. Over 5 feet of water but less than 10, however, we were much further away from the weed edge than we would normally be at this time of year.

All caught on some sort of Crankbait, nothing on plastics!

Good Luck out there!
