Fishing Report, Ice Fishing

Wednesday Weekly Ice Conditions: March 6th

Holding Steady At 22-23 Inches

Tough Bite The Last Couple Days Though

As is with search days, we don’t always find fish, or we find them and they don’t want to bite, or they bite but they aren’t the right ones. Yesterday we found some that wouldn’t bite, today was a little of each. Either nothing, ones that wouldn’t bite, and ones that bit but they were small. We found some crappie schools, but most weren’t cooperating, the Perch were few and far between. We were in the basin, drilling aimlessly trying to find that needle in the haystack.

For you just looking for an ice report, we have pretty good news, the ice is saying strong, and it looks as though, with the current 10-day forecast, that we will be making it at least 2-3 more weeks, if not more. I absolutely LOVE April ice fishing; we just hope we make it there!

Good Luck out there!
