State Champs!!
It doesn’t happen very often that we take as much time off as we did this last week but it was important to be there, and man oh man am I glad I was there for it. My daughter, while she doesn’t play a lot being only a Sophomore, was part of something special this weekend. The Devils Lake Firebirds went 3-0 on their way to the first state championship since 1987, pretty special.
So, to Coach Klein, the Seniors, all the players, and especially Mia;
WAY TO GO!!
It was so much fun watching you guys play and grow as the season went along. Being as young as they are, we have an inkling that they just might be back for a couple of more years at the State Tourney.
We will resume reporting on the bite on Devils Lake tomorrow.
