Staying Steady!
We are hinging tough there right at 22-23 inches and while I don’t think that we are going to get a whole lot more than that, we should be good into the 1st and maybe even the 2nd weeks in March. After that it will be a crap shoot as to how far into March we will get. I don’t think we will get into Arpil but you just never know. With how the winter has been this year, we might get cold again and be fishing into mid-April.
The bite has really taken a turn for the worst the last few days with the up and down temperatures, which are never really good for this time of year. We need steady temps and we are right in the middle of a roller coaster right now, another upswing tomorrow and then another drop early next week. Steady temps will get them biting again and it may be a few days before we see that.
A Little Break For Some Basketball
If you have followed the Report for any length of time, you know that Basketball has been in my family for as long as I can remember. Another member of the Elsperger clan has a State Tournament starting tomorrow, as my daughter Mia is a reserve on the Devils Lake Firebirds Girls Basketball team. We will be taking time off from posting to watch her and her teammates so the next post will probably be Sunday. Until then…
Good Luck out there!
