Fishing Report, Ice Fishing

Wednesday Weekly Ice Conditions: Feb. 14th, 2024

Over 20!!!!

That’s Good News For Longevity!

Look at those toads!!!

Well with all the gloom and doom from the last couple of weeks I think that it is safe to say that we are out of the woods when it comes to the ice sheet as we have pretty much surpassed that 20-inch mark all over the late and the soft spots have firmed up. Good news for the duration of what we hope is a ling ice season that will reach well into March and maybe even April.

It wasn’t looking as rosy about a week ago, but I think we are full steam ahead.

And…

The Perch Are Starting TO BITE!!

While it is nowhere near the Perch year that we say last year, I think that things are starting to change when it comes to the Perch bite. The Walleyes have been pretty strong for the most part, but we have really seen a lot more Perch starting to show up and that is a very good trend, maybe they are coming out of the doldrums; we sure hope so.

Over 30 feet of water today and sitting and grinding was the key.

Minnow heads and Buckshots again!

Good Luck out there!
