FOG
Never Good For Fishing!
When we woke up this morning and saw the fog, we knew it was not good. I have never had good days in the fog, never! It creates a false low light conditions and it just messes up the fish. Yeah, we got a few, but they were nowhere near as active as they had been the last two days and just not as many coming through.
We were shallow again, less than 15 feet of water on 2 shallow flats. We still marked quite a few fish, the active ones were just too few and far between.
We have been on pretty solid Walleye bites the last week, sometimes so good that we are limited rather quickly. Problem is: Then what!
The Perch bite has still been very touchy so relying on that can be problematic.
Sometimes in those shallows, you can manage some really big Perch as well, but again, there usually aren’t enough of them to really get into a frenzy. Having to move too many times to keep on them makes it a tough situation.
And so the grind continues, and we soldier on until we can get into a more consistent Perch bite, that we know is out there, we just haven’t found it lately.
Good Luck out there!
