Wednesday Ice Conditions and Fishing For 11-29-23
The ice is very variable right now, with ranges from 6 inches to open water. There is a lot of that open water right now, and although much of the main lake froze over last night, it will re-open today and anytime the wind picks up at all.
The forecast calls for high’s in the low 30’s and lows in the in the low 20’s to the high teens. Not ideal ice making temps but it will be slow and steady.
Looking like it is going to be a more normal year than we have had in the past few years. The good news is that the ice that we do have is really good ice, clear and smooth. Hopes for driving ice by Christmas might be out of the question but you never know.
As the whole lake starts to lock up, we want to make sure that you all are careful out there, no ice is safe ice and you need to drill as you go. We aren’t professionals but we are out there everyday so we like to think we have a pretty good idea as to how things are out there.
We will be giving more day-to-day reports on the ice conditions for the near future so that you will all be safe out there. The last thing that we want to hear is that someone goes through the ice. Believe it or not, it’s really cold underneath that water, like really cold! Some of these tips will help in you staying dry and still being able to read DLFR!!

NO FISH IS WORTH A LIFE!
Today!
We were on one of the Northern Feeder lakes this morning. We drilled in under 10 feet of water. Pods of fish came through about every 15-20 minutes we missed almost as many as we caught today.
Would you like to see that blue/black blob removed so you can we what we were using?
