We’ve Been A Little Busy!!

We Welcomed A Beautiful Baby Boy To The DLFR Family!!

So…It’s Been A Little Hectic!!

First off, we would like all of you to say HI to the newest addition to the DLFR Family, August Woods Elsperger. He blessed us at 1:01 a.m. Monday morning. Baby and Mom are doing awesome and will be home today. To say I am a little excited would be an understatement, I think life just got REALLY busy!!

Today, we had to leave Grand Forks in a hurry to get back so we could fish at least 1 day with Terry and Nate and the crew. As I said, it was a little hectic this last weekend and we missed the Casino Tournament, anxiously awaiting our new little guy. Got onto the water at about 9:30 and found absolutely nothing but 1 Walleye for about 3 hours.

To say I was frustrated was an understatement, but then we started to mark fish. We didn’t catch them, but the marks were a welcome presence. With a little persistence, we started to get some bites, and then…

Absolute CHAOS!!

Just what we are looking for, hit after hit, fish after fish, and a really tough day turned into a really easy day in about 30 minutes!

Depth!!

This is probably the most drastic change. Going from pitching into 6-8 feet of water 5 days ago to trolling spinners in 12-21 feet of water today. Out best depth was actually 21 feet. It is crazy how quickly they will move deeper when that water spikes. Looks like it is going to be a spinner game, early just like that last 2 years.

Game On!!

That Color Spinner You Ask??

Well, I think you know by now, you will need a subscription for that!!

Good Luck out there!
