Ice Is Getting Suspect But…
Still Fishing Opportunity
The beauty of North Dakota’s fishing season is that it never closes. When the ice deteriorates to the point where it is not safe anymore, it is time to break out the long rods and fish from shore! Even though some would like our season to close for the spawn, myself included, it does offer those that don’t have a boat to get out there and partake in some of the best Walleye and Pike fishing there is.
A lot can be argued both for and against closing or not closing the season. We leave it up to the experts, the Game and Fish, and their studies show that keeping it open has no negative effect, so we support that.
Grab some twister tails and a scoop of minnow, if you can find ’em, and cast away!
We are rounding out our calendar for the open water season, still a few dates early and last, if you want to experience Devils Lake with us, give us a call. We have the lowest rates and the maximum amount of effort on the lake; call today!!
Good Luck out there!
