Depth range seems to be in that 34-36 feet still and they are still in that on-off-on mode where they will be fired up one minute and flat on the bottom the next. Buckshots and Coffin spoons were really good today, Pink UV and Wonderbread Coffin spoon. Seems to be a real mix of ‘sized fish’ as well. Makes it difficult to throw any back so when reeling you really gotta be careful.
Walleyes!
Kind of still waiting for that late ice feeding frenzy. Although we haven’t been targeting walleyes the last week, we have spent a few early hours fishing for them and the normal late March, active feeding has not been present. The Walleyes seem like they are a little behind as on of the late ice spots we targeted today, they just weren’t there yet. The clock, or actually the calendar is ticking and every day, that feeding frenzy is getting closer. Back to perch tomorrow and then a combo trip on Wednesday and Thursday.
