Wednesday Weekly Ice Conditions: Episode 10- January 10th

We’re Getting There

The cold temps last week and nightly temps below freezing have gotten us into that 14-18 inch range with the ice and we have even found some 22 on the edges.  We are driving trucks now but are still drilling as we are going.  Not ALL the ice out there is pick up worthy yet.

After this next cold snap starting tonight we should be pretty good.

Biggest problem now is the cracks and pressure ridges.  There are a lot of them and somoe are getting covered up with a little bit of snow so some caution is required out there.

Walleyes Are Going!

Our best luck lately has been with the Walleyes.  Don’t get me wrong, some guys are still really getting into some nice Perch but they have eluded us the last few days.

Both of today’s waypoint offering were accessed with our truck so have at it:
