New Moon Cycle and Warm, Warm, October Weather!
Unseasonably warm weather has us stuck in a non-migration pattern with birds getting stale and way too educated. The bean harvest is wrapping up and corn is starting to come off. The temperatures will dip a little soon and we should see some new blood showing up and they can’t come soon enough. The New Moon means a lot less feeding by the fowl through the night. That has been countered however by the warm weather. A lot more afternoon feeding than early morning hours feeding. The fall fishing is picking up though and that is a good sign as those bigger fish are starting to put on the feed bag. A wonderful time to enjoy the ‘October Sun’ of the Northern Tier of North Dakota.
