Why Membership?

We Get This Question A Lot!

And quite simply, you get everything! Either Platinum or Gold, for the Oen Water Fishing, you get the whole enchilada. Basically, everything we know, you will know. Depths, lure color, time of day, how we caught em, and to top it off, we give you the Waypoints we logged for that day as well. Pretty much idiot proof, and now with the advent of the Livescope, put them in combination with each other and it is a lethal combo.

Whether you choose Platinum or Gold for the Open Water Period, we will constantly keep you informed as to what is happening with the bite on Devils Lake.

Depth

Pretty important factor, especially in the early period of Open Water fishing on Devils Lake. Sure, there are fish all throughout the fishery, but the biting ones can be tough to come by. We will tell you exactly how deep we are fishing, whether the boat is in 5 feet or 12 feet, and to what depth we are pitching. If pulling spinners, we are going to tell you exactly what depth like we are focusing on to catch fish.

Lure Color

Whether it be crankbait color ore spinner color, this is probably the 2nd most important variable on Devils Lake. What type of crankbait are we using, or what color of spinner was the most effective. This is pretty much the one area that we tinker with throughout the day, the most on Devils Lake and it can be the difference between a successful day and a dud.

Time of Day

With this goes water temperature of the lake. Are they hitting right away, or are we having to wait a couple of hours to let the water temperature come up a little bit. Who doesn’t hate wasting time pitching to the shallows aimlessly when we could have just waited a couple of hours to let that water temperature come up a few degrees. We will let you know if you could be waiting a little bit or if they are hitting right away in the morning.

How We Got Em

Quick retrieve?

Slow retrieve?

Steady Retrieve?

How exactly did we get em. Exactly how were we fishing? We will tell you exactly how we got our fish that day.

Were we slip bobbering? Trolling? Pitching cranks? Pitching plastics? So many ways to fish on Devils Lake, but there are absolutely going to be 1 or 2 that are much more effective, depending on the time of year. Also, knowing when to switch tactics can be imperative as well.

Waypoints

And the grand finale, the locations. Sometimes this is all’s people care about and just want the ‘where’, well we will tell you that too.

Put it all together, and in our opinion, NOT having a DLFR Membership is really kind of missing the boat on Devils Lake!

Good Luck out there!
