The Lost Winter!
Fish That Don’t Want To Bite
Looks Like It Might Soon Be Over

Never before has I ever seen a collective group of fish, from east to west, that just will not bite. Oh sure, they will come up, look at the lure, but they just absolutely not bite, and there has to be an explanation. Sure, we have had flare ups where they will bite a little, maybe a day or two, but then they just flatten out again. We continue to hold out hope that things will turn around, but it is becoming painfully clear, we are running out of time, because…
That Ice Is Going Fast
And Temps Aren’t Helping
Fifty degrees yesterday and almost fifty degrees again today and that ice sheet, while thick, it is getting quite soft. The next few days, with it cooling down quite a bit, it will firm up a bit, but the damage might have already been done, and the beginning of the end might be on the horizon.
The lows for the next week are 17-23 so we will be getting refreeze every day. The extended forecast has a few days in the 40’s and again, back down to the teens, so there might be a light at the end of the tunnel if you like ice fishing.

Lures To Focus On
We would stay with buckshots and varmints tipped with a minnow head, it is what we have has the best results with.
Good Luck out there!
