Is It The Beginning Of The End!!
Sure Could Be!!
So, I’m not saying that the end of the ice season is near, probably 2-3 weeks left, but it might be getting iffy out there. For trucks, in another 3-4 days, I wouldn’t do it. SnoBears and Side by Sides, probably another 2 weeks; possibly more. For those that are willing to walk out, at least 2-3 weeks left. It i always the die hard’s that are the last to leave the ice.
Lots of Canada geese showing up and even a few flocks of snows, but another cool down is just around that corner and that might buy us another week/week and a half.
I am not about to say that you shouldn’t be going out there, and as long as the access are still doable, the main ice sheet is pretty sound. We witnessed about 6 inches of sharded ice and 18 inches of pretty good stuff yet. With the thinking that you need 8 for a snobear, that leaves us some time.
The next 4-7 days will be deciding how long we are able to go, stay tuned as we will try to keep you posted daily as to changing ice conditions.
Good Luck out there!
