A Little Less Aggressive Today
Still Got ‘Er Done!!
A lot of times when we come upon a new pod of fish within a day, when we get off of the water and start preparing for the next day, we are pretty jacked up. Can’t wait to get back on the water the next day and get after them again. Today was just such a day and we couldn’t get back out to the spot fast enough. Even with zero wind and dead calm conditions, we were still ultra-confident and as soon as we dropped down, we were on fish. They weren’t banging it like they were the day before and the bite was much more subtle, but the fish were still there, and we were still able to box quite a few nice fish and threw back at least twice as many more.
We hadn’t seen the smalls there the day before and after going through a couple dozen worms sorting through fish and with our clients almost limited out, we decided to go do a little searching and we found yet ANOTHER pod of active fish.
Now I won’t be able to sleep tonight again, all jacked up to get after this new pod, weather permitting of course.
We remained in that intermediate-to-deep range again today. 17-26 feet of water. Worms were the bait of choice today and white was definitely a component of every spinner that caught fish for us.
Points jutting out into deep water off of the old shoreline were also vital in finding fish today.
Good Luck out there!
