We Got Real Wet

But It Was Worth It

The day started with me making a phone call to push our take-off time back to 9:30. Left the dock about 9:45 and proceeded to get absolutely drenched for about an hour and a half. However, it was absolutely worth it. Trolling roadbeds in shallow water amongst the weeks with spinners and worms was the ticket for us today.

The Spinner bite is just starting to pick up out there. There are still a ton of fish to be had pitching cranks and plastics, but for just a boatload of fish, for the next two and a half months; it’s spinner time!!

August’s Day On The Lake!

Yesterday was a quick 5 on a roadbed pulling spinners. Think metallic! Worms and Leeches on a bottom bouncer and spinner.

Guide Trip With The Girls!

Had a father and his daughters out this day and a point over a deep drop off got us out fish. Spinners and worms and leeches again.

Pitching All Day!

Our last day of strictly Pitch, Pitch, Pitch. Plastics and Cranks. The fish are going to be bigger but just maybe not as many. if you want a chance at some real thumpers, you will probably be able to get some Pitching until the weeds take over in mid- to late July.

Combo Bobber/Spinner/Pitch Day

What I truly love about fishing DL is the fact that a guy can go all 3

  • Pitch
  • Bobber
  • Pull

And be successful on the Big Devil!

Good Luck out there!
