Tried To Launch Out Of Pelican Today

Glad It DIDN’T Work

The Fish We Did Find Were On The Feed

We set out with the intent of launching out of the Pelican Boat launch, we launched out and started towards the channel and…

NO!!!

Maybe with smaller boats, as there were 3 trailers there yesterday and 2 already there today, but with a 20-foot fiberglass boat, not gonna happen. Plans had to change so we went to option B, and no way I was launching there with the way the wind was blowing into the launch. So on to option 3. Option 3 was option 3 because it is pretty far east and has much cooler water.

Didn’t matter!!

Pitching Plastics!!

PERCH!! It’s what’s for dinner, I guess!! Sheesh!

Had plastics and cranks along with and planned on using both. Our 1st pass gave us 1 Walleye and nothing else. Not a follow, not a sniff. However, the air temperature was almost 80 and I knew the water was going to warm rapidly so the plan was to keep at it.

Once we found where they wanted to be we just hammered that area until we got our 5, and 5 good ones, almost TOO good.

Less than 10 feet of water, windblown shoreline, paddle tails.

This Last Weekend Was Good Too!

Good Luck out there!
